Hi Trojan Fans!
This Friday, September 25h, we are hosting a "Friday Night Lights" that will include a 7 on 7 football game. The IHSA is allowing 7 on 7 intrasquad games with a signed parent/guardian athletic waiver. The night will resemble Green-White Night. The Band, Cheerleaders, and Football team pics are being taken by J7 Images beginning @ 5:30PM. The games will tentatively begin around 7PM. We will be spotlighting the Seniors. The Band will perform from the stands, the Cheerleaders will cheer, and our Trojans will win their games....both JV and Varsity! Spectators will NOT be allowed in the stands, but I have been given permission to allow a certain number of vehicles inside the gates.(You will still need to stay within your designated car area) The police and fire departments will also be in attendance! Vehicles may also park along Franklin Street and Trojan Drive. The plan is to have the event on facebook live to allow others to watch. Please remember....SAFETY FIRST....MASKS ON, and keep socially distanced. We want this to be an event that can be fun and entertaining for the kids, without having to worry about any negative repercussions. The goal is to bring some sort of normalcy to a Friday Night in Dwight! I hope to see quite a few of you there....the weathermen are forecasting a great night to be outside!
LET'S GO BIG GREEN!

Great news! The IHSA has recently announced the “Stage 1 Return to Play” policy, which allows student-athletes to get back into the weight room for strength and conditioning sessions this summer. In order to maintain students’ safety, we have developed a structured plan to comply with the requirements that the IHSA has provided. Dwight Economic Alliance has a Micro Food Pantry located at the Historic Depot, 119 W. Main Street, west side of the building. This is outside and people can donate food or take food when needed. We want to ensure that everyone that has a need for additional help at this time, is aware of the pantry. If there are families that need more than what the pantry offers, please contact Jane Anderson from the DEA at (815) 584-1830.

APPROPRIATE CHROMEBOOK USAGE
Dwight Public Schools is proud to be able to loan Chromebooks to students for remote learning during this unprecedented time in education.
We want to remind all students that the use of these school owned devices is limited to EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES ONLY. Students should be utilizing the Chromebook for teacher assigned and directed activities. Student logins are monitored and any misuse may result in your device being disabled.
Some examples of misuse include, but are not limited to the following: general internet searches that do not pertain to teacher assigned activities, the use of websites such as YouTube for non-educational activities, and use of gmail for personal use.
We are excited to see what our students are able to accomplish during this remote learning adventure!
